Working with Sarah Ohmann as a coauthor he has written two
guide books that cover sea kayaking routes for all of the
Great Lakes and the Saint Lawrence River. When not losing
money working as a kayak instructor or kayak author Bill does
environmental consulting for his company, Remediation and
Natural Attenuation Services Inc. He is also a scuba diver and Board Member of TCSKA.
- Sarah Ohmann
"Born in Massachusetts, I have lived in Connecticutt, Seattle, and now
Minneapolis. I have had different jobs like restaurant co-owner, forest
fire fighter, forestry worker, lab tech with work in tree physiology, animal
virology, and plant biochemistry. Most recently I got my master's degree at
the U, then co-wrote two guidebooks to sea kayaking the Great Lakes.
Sea kayaking is one of my favorite things to do but I love spending time
outdoors, just ask some of the other BITA people! I also like backpacking
and winter camping, or just about any kind of camping. When I'm in the
cities I like movies, reading, cooking and gardening."
Sarah is also a Board Member of TCSKA.
- Ben Silberglitt
A University of Minnesota graduate student in school psychology; He will be designing our program evaluation.
"I love to play outside, whether it be in a canoe, on a mountain bike, on a snowboard, even on foot. I also love to travel, and have enjoyed camping and hiking in Japan, Indonesia, Israel, Egypt and the US. My plan for the future is to finish my degree, so I can get a job so I can afford to take up some new ways to play (like kayaking, for instance)."
