Red Squirrels are very territorial: it doesn't like other animals (including you) in its home
area.
When you walk into a red squirrel1s territory, it will make an alarm sound, run up a tree and shake its tail
Like other Squirrels, this one will store food in a cache for the winter, that is it will hide nuts and seeds in a hole or other hiding place.
Signs: Look for a midden (garbage pile) where the squirrel sits and eats It throws the parts of pine cones it doesn't eat in a small pile on the ground.

Very hard to find.
